Opening hours

Each pool has its own opening hours.

The opening hours for each facility are posted on the "Swimming Pool Opening Hours" page and at the entrance to each pool.

Do the schedules vary throughout the year?

- From September to June: certain time slots are reserved for school groups (weekdays, during the day) and sports clubs and associations (weekdays, in the evening).
- During school breaks in July and August, opening hours for the public change and are extended.

Most pools are closed on:
January 1, May 1, July 14, August 15, and December 25 (closing at 5:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. the day before)

Ticketing and payment methods

Buy your tickets online for Parisian swimming pools

The City of Paris has set up a website called "Billetterie Piscines de la Ville de Paris" (Paris City Swimming Pool Ticket Office) where you can purchase single tickets, 10-visit passes, and renew your membership online.
Tickets purchased online can be used at all Parisian swimming pools except for the Suzanne Berlioux pool, the Espace Pailleron, and the Espace Sportif Pontoise.

Only cash payments (for your convenience, please bring exact change), bank checks, and credit cards are accepted.

Municipal cards and passes are not valid in Suzanne Berlioux, Pontoise, and Pailleron.

Swimming lessons, activities, and swimming certification

Throughout the year, sessions supervised by City of Paris lifeguards are offered at swimming pools, upon registration.
Prices vary depending on the activity.
The price of the activity does not include the cost of admission to the establishment.

- 1 lesson (30 minutes): €15
- 6 lessons: €66

Water activities (according to the establishment's program) / per person

- 1 session: €7
- 10 sessions: €61

- The price is €7.
The rates and conditions of access are valid in municipal swimming pools.
Please note: five swimming pools have specific pricing (all year round, at night or in summer). These are Suzanne Berlioux (Paris Center), Pontoise (5th), Roger le Gall (12th), Joséphine Baker (13th), and Pailleron (19th).

Reduced rates

To benefit from the reduced rate at a municipal swimming pool, you must:

- be a resident of Paris,
- be a resident of Paris,
- present yourself at the ticket office with proof of eligibility for the reduced rate,
and proof of residence and identification.

List of reduced rates:

- Young people under the age of 26 residing in Paris can benefit from the reduced rate upon presentation of proof of identity and proof of address.
In the case of accommodation, a certificate of accommodation accompanied by proof of residence is required

- Large families can benefit from the reduced rate upon presentation of the discount card issued by the SNCF

- People aged 65 and over are eligible for the reduced rate upon presentation of proof of identity and proof of address
In the case of accommodation, a certificate of accommodation accompanied by proof of address is required

- Police cadets and police officers required to undergo training are eligible for the reduced rate upon presentation of their professional card

- Holders of a disability card issued by the Maison départementale des personnes handicapées (Departmental Office for People with Disabilities) are eligible for the reduced rate upon presentation of the card

- Persons accompanying children over the age of 8 are eligible for the reduced rate without using the pools.

Free admission: conditions and supporting documents

Free admission to municipal swimming pools is granted to people belonging to certain categories.
To qualify, you must be a resident of Paris and present proof of eligibility for free admission, proof of address, and proof of identity at the ticket office.

- Holders of the Paris Family Pass are entitled to free travel upon presentation of their Pass

- Holders of the Navigo Pass Paris Seniors and Pass Paris Access' cards can enjoy free admission upon presentation of the card issued by the City of Paris Social Action Center

- Guides for blind people and guides for war invalids can travel free of charge upon presentation of their white card for 100% pensioners, with a limit of one accompanying person per person

- Job seekers residing in Paris can travel for free upon presentation of a paper or electronic notice of their status dated within the last month

- Recipients of active solidarity income residing in Paris are eligible for free admission upon presentation of a valid certificate

- Recipients of temporary waiting allowance are eligible for free admission upon presentation of notification of the decision

- Active and retired City of Paris employees are eligible for free admission upon presentation of proof of employment.

- Holders of a disability card issued by the National Office for Veterans and War Victims are eligible for free admission upon presentation of proof

- Military personnel mobilized as part of Operation Sentinelle are eligible for free admission upon presentation of their professional card

- Recipients of asylum seeker's allowance are eligible for free admission upon presentation of notification of the decision

Special pricing

Special pricing applies at certain establishments. This means that the price of admission tickets and passes (10-visit passes, quarterly passes, etc.) is not the same as at other pools.

Joséphine Baker Swimming Pool (13th arrondissement)

From mid-May weekends until the end of September, and every day in July and August, the rate is €6.50. The entrance ticket is valid for 2 hours. After that, each additional hour is charged and must be paid for upon exit.
Outside these periods, the standard rate applies: €4 for full price with no time limit.

Pontoise Swimming Pool (5th)

Price for evening sessions starting at 8:15 p.m.: €11.10 (full price) giving access to the pool, fitness center, and sauna. During the day, and until 8 p.m., the price is €4.80 (full price) for access to the pool only.

Roger Le Gall (12th)

Special summer rates (from June to the end of August and on weekends in September): €5.80 (full price). Outside the summer period, admission is €3.50 (full price).

Pailleron (19th)

€3.60 (full price) all year round
Except €4.30 in July and August

Berlioux (Paris Center)

€4.80 (full price) all year round
What should I do if my membership card is lost or stolen?

If your membership card is lost or stolen, you must fill out a card replacement request form (available on site) and attach a photo ID. Then, you will give these documents to the pool cashier, who will forward them to the Régie. This applies to the non-paying portion of the card.
No duplicate membership coupons can be issued. However, you can present your ID at the pool ticket office, where staff will verify your right of access.

School ponds

Energy efficiency
No reduction in water and air temperature for school ponds.
Teaching pools are small pools designed for teaching young children. Access is reserved for school groups and clubs.
